But if you care to go through some of the related statistics, you will definitely change your perception about Denver auto insurance. These bits of information are not figments of my imagination – they have been compiled by Denver police department.
In 2004 there were 7538 auto thefts in the city of Denver. It has also been observed that 1996 Honda Accord is the most stolen car in 2005. 2000 Honda Civic is the next in the list to be stolen and 1989 Toyota Camry, 1995 Dodge Neon and 1996 Ford Explorer feature in the list of top ten cars stolen in 2005. If you have any of these cars, I guess you are already itching to get Denver auto insurance, aren’t you?
Though the average transit time from residence to office is 24.5 minutes for a Denver resident, there were 51 fatal car crashes in 2004 within the city limits of Denver. It was not that most of these cars were speeding recklessly – the average speed of these cars was only 30 mph. So, you see, it does not depend only upon you to reach safely to your destination – it also depends on others who are using the road at the same time as you. Don’t you think it is high time you got yourself a Denver auto insurance? A total of 72 vehicles and 130 persons were involved in these crashes leading to loss of life and damage to cars.
If you consider these as accidents which will never befall you, let me give you another piece of information. From a report published on July 23, 2008 in Chicago Tribune we gather that Allstate Corp.'s second-quarter net income fell 98 percent, the lowest in its 77 year existence. Do you know why this has happened? Forty-three disasters, mostly related to tornadoes, wind and hail, combined to cause $698 million in catastrophe losses in the quarter, up from 34 disasters that caused $433 million catastrophe losses in the same period a year ago. Well this should be a sufficient reason to go and get a Denver auto insurance policy, shouldn’t it?
There are always drivers who have broken the law and they might find it difficult to get Denver auto insurance policy in the normal course. Insurers may either straightway deny or charge an exorbitant amount of premium for these Denver high risk insurance policies. Though you really can't blame the insurance companies for charging high premiums, but as per law of the land they cannot deny a person Denver auto insurance cover if the person is willing to pay higher rate of premium. An extra documentation in the form of SR-22 is to be filed by the Denver auto insurance company. This is necessary as a declaration by the insurance company that auto liability insurance is in effect for that particular individual.
