The mile high city, as Denver is called, is a centre of communication, transport and high technology and the demographic structure shows a marked bias towards people below forty years of age. So it is no wonder that this city has some of the best eating joints in mid-west United States. Denver dining, let's be honest, can't match Paris or, say, London, but traditional steaks and chops are still the prime favorites among regulars who patronize the top of the flight eateries in this city.
In order to have a lucid idea about Denver restaurants it’d be best to examine each part of the city one after the other. Let's start with Downtown Denver. There are about 500 Denver restaurants in this part of the city. If you prefer contemporary American or Northern Italian Cuisine and wouldn’t mind downing a few bottles of fine wine, Alto Denver at 1320 15th Street is the Denver restaurant you should go for dinner. The prices are on the higher side, but the ambience and warmth more than make up for the extra pressure on your wallet. Oscar’s Steakhouse at 1222 Glenarm Place and The Denver Chophouse and Brewery at 1735 19th Street are also very good Denver dining joints. The rates, however in both these places are on the higher side. In case you are fond of Japanese food and not able to really splash on culinary delights, there is an excellent Denver restaurant called Sushi Heights at 2301 East Colfax Avenue. Their menu includes award-winning sushi, teriyaki, tempura and much more and patrons seem to be very happy with the great food and great service they get at this Denver dining place.
If you happen to go to Denver restaurants at south Denver, never ever miss Brix Anti-Bistro at 3000 East Third Avenue. The Denver dining place is incredibly kind on your wallet and Chef Jose Alejandro Sosa is a real wizard in his job. Food quality, atmosphere and service are top notch and the new management is pulling out all stops to make this Denver restaurant a shining star in the culinary map of this city. Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill at 980 Grant Street is also a good Denver restaurant to step in if you are in the southern part of the city.
If you happen to be on the west side of the city and feeling hungry, the Denver restaurant you may barge in without any hesitation whatsoever is Tanglewoods Restaurant and Bar at 1552 Bergen Parkway. Their bar is really astounding. Quality wine coupled with live music and terrific Tapas and Dinner menus will make the evening really memorable. But don’t go there if you are in a hurry. This is a place to unwind and relax, especially after a really grueling day. This is probably the best Denver restaurant west of the Platte.
I would like to wind up by referring to a few Denver restaurants in Boulder area. Q’s Restaurant at 2115 13th Street serves superb American food and though some patrons have issues about their service, nobody has ever said anything against the quality of food. It is on the costlier side so be prepared accordingly. Crepes To Go Go at 1326 College Avenue is a tiny Denver dining place which serves magically delicious crepes. Don’t miss it if you are in Boulder.
